BUBBY'S STORIES - Belarus to the Bronx is the biography of seven generations of my family. 

My family was helped and saved by HIAS – the Hebrew Immigrants’ Aid Society four different times. From a shattered World War I, almost medieval shtetl in Belarus, we follow my family's survival through Europe to Ellis Island, to the Lower East Side of Manhattan, to Brooklyn, the Bronx, and then to New York's Upper West Side. 

                        My mother used to say that if she could find America, we could do anything. I believe she was right.  
 

​BUBBY’S STORIES is a biography, and as such a work of non-fiction. It is to the best of my ability and my family’s memories, historically factual and accurate.  My family's names are on the Memorial Wall at Ellis Island.
